PARS can visit prisoners whilst in prison to support them with issues that they may be worried about.

We also provide support to family/whanau to assist with prison visiting applications, information, and support with any concerns about someone in prison, locally or somewhere else in New Zealand. We can also send property (clothing, phone cards, etc) into prison on behalf of family members, and receive property sent out to family from prisoners. Our property runs are Monday and Thursday afternoons.

PARS volunteers visit the prison on Monday and Friday afternoons to talk to prisoners and take requests for support and contact with family.

If you need travel support to visit someone in Manawatu Prison our office may be able to arrange this. We also provide funding (when available) for family members in Manawatu to visit someone in prison outside of Manawatu

If you are concerned or worried and need support contact us at our local office. The Palmerston North office is a drop-in centre for clients to call in for a coffee and chat – Monday to Friday, 10.00am to 3.00pm.

Deportees

If you or someone you know has been deported from Australia due to offending, PARS can help with support and assistance. Contact your local office of 0800 727 700 for more information.
